The inauguration took place in the presence of Pasquale Mammone, President of the University of Artois, Laurence Loriot, Deputy Director of the Department of Research, Higher Education and Health and Social Training (Hauts-de- -France), Eric Monflier, Vice-president of the Research Commission of the University of Artois, Gabriel Velu, Vice-president of the Board of Directors. CABBALR was also represented.
A large number of researchers from the University of Artois came to discover the machine and the possibilities it offers to members of the laboratories and beyond.
Funded under the State-Region Plan Contract (MANIFEST project), this acquisition is the result of the collaboration of the A2U universities – University of Artois, University of Picardie Jules Verne and University of the Littoral Côte d'Opale – thus allowing researchers at the Civil Engineering and Geo-Environment Laboratory in materials, mechanics, solid-state chemistry, electronics, plant chemistry, the entire scientific community and Hauts-de-France industrialists to have access to a rare and powerful technical and technological asset.
